Monte GEN became the top academy team in Valve rankings

Monte GEN became the first academy to move up in Valve's rankings after defeating ALTERNATE aTTaX at CCT Season 2 Europe Series 12. Prior to that, MOUZ NXT were higher in the rankings, but their results have gotten worse lately.

Monte GEN Results

The team recently finished 3-4th at CCT Season 2 Europe Series 9, where they lost to ALTERNATE aTTaX in the semifinals, after which they have been making strong appearances at CCT tournaments. One of the biggest wins in recent times was against TSM who qualified for RMR where Monte GEN defeated them 2-0.

In the last three matches the team played without their captain, who will miss matches until September 17 due to family problems. At this time he is replaced by the coach of the team AiyvaN, who shows himself well.

Player statistics

The best player of the team is Ryu, who after moving from Monte to Monte GEN shows a great game and for the last 3 months his stats are 6.3, which is good enough. Also the only Ukrainian in the squad, leen, who has been in the squad since its creation, has a 6.3 rating.

Two players also have a 6.2 rating, the captain and shield sniper, as well as Gizmy, who also previously played for the main roster with Ryu. A relatively new player to the team, fnl has a rating of 6.0 for the last 3 months, which is the weakest on the team, but the team has a great result.

Position of academic teams in Valve's rankings

Monte GEN is ranked 61st in the Valve world ranking and 44th in the European ranking. If academic teams could take part in the qualifiers for RMR, Monte's lineup could participate in it. Past leader MOUZ academic squad fell in the ranking to 69th position.

Monte GEN's next matches

For Monte GEN, the next match will be a meeting within CCT Season 2 Europe Series 12, against an opponent with a 1-0 Swiss system statistic, but he is unknown for now.
