Monte started the first map with a confident lead of 8:4, but their performance in the attack was not successful enough to prevent their opponents from winning nine consecutive rounds and finishing the map in their favor. GamerLegion, especially their sniper Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, showed an outstanding game, which was key to their success. The Dane achieved a rating of 7.9 and had a statistic of 41:22.

After the match, Monte expressed their disappointment with the unsuccessful start to the tournament but highlighted their readiness to show a better result in the lower bracket. On the other hand, GamerLegion eagerly awaits their next challenge against the winner of the MOUZ - Cloud9 pair. This victory opens the way for GamerLegion to further progress at IEM Katowice 2024, while Monte must recover their game to have a chance of success in the lower bracket.
