Monte Replaces STYKO with KEi, one more Polish in the Roster

Monte Esports has officially announced the departure of Martin "STYKO" Styk, who has been replaced by Kamil "KEi" Pietkun on the active roster. This move comes as the Ukrainian organization shifts towards a predominantly Polish-speaking lineup.

STYKO, a Slovak player, joined Monte during a turbulent period and was part of the team for just three months. His departure is aligned with Monte's decision to streamline communication within the team by focusing on the Polish language. The recent addition of Polish players Olek "hades" Miskiewicz and Paweł "dycha" Dycha marked the beginning of this transition, which has now culminated in KEi's arrival.

STYKO's Statement and Future Plans

In a statement on X, STYKO expressed understanding and support for Monte's decision.

STYKO also hinted at taking a necessary break to reset and regain his passion for the game, with plans to continue improving individually while awaiting the right opportunity.

KEi and hades Reunited

KEi's addition to Monte is particularly notable as it reunites him with hades, a former teammate with whom he played on and off between 2018-2023. The duo's most successful stint was with 9INE, where they qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major and competed in several Big Events. They parted ways earlier this year when ENCE bought out 9INE's core. Now, the two will join forces once again under Monte's banner, with hades taking on the role of in-game leader.
