mezii commented on moving to Team Vitality and replacing Magisk

The new player of Team Vitality's Counter-Strike 2 roster, William "mezii" Merriman, shared his emotions about joining the team. The British esports player expressed his thoughts in an interview with the tournament operator BLAST.

Merriman noted that he does not intend to be an "exact copy" of the departing Emil "Magisk" Reif. He also believes that he can help the new team achieve success.

I am very happy to join the reigning world champions. I have worked hard to get this opportunity and compete for titles, so I am grateful for that. There will be a period of adaptation, but I have no doubt that I can perform at a high level in this team. The fact that I am replacing Magisk does not add any additional pressure; it is always the same when moving to a new team. Nevertheless, when joining a team that is a major champion, the pressure is certainly felt. I do not plan to be an exact copy of Magisk and play in exactly the same way, but I am confident that I can do well in my role and help Vitality continue to win tournaments.
