A Counter-Strike 2 skin collector has set a new record by spending $45,000 on a MAC-10 | Bronzer. At first glance, the skin appears unremarkable: a dark bronze color without special effects or a unique pattern that would typically justify the price. However, the reason lies elsewhere — in the float value.
The buyer acquired the skin with a float of 0.00000000010431 — the lowest value ever recorded in Counter-Strike history. For those unfamiliar: the float determines the wear level of a skin, and the closer it is to zero, the newer the item looks, free from scratches and wear.
Typically, a MAC-10 costs next to nothing on the Steam marketplace, but such a unique float turns it into a rare collectible item.

This isn't the first sensational sale due to float. A few months ago, an AUG | Eye of Zaphu with a float of 0.0000000019395 sold for over $100,000. Again, it wasn't the appearance that determined the price, but the minimal float value.
