m0NESY will miss BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024: TAZ's return to the tier-1 stage

G2 announced on Twitter that m0NESY will miss the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final due to visa issues. The tournament will take place in London at the OVO Arena Wembley. The team's coach, Wiktor “TAZ” Wojtas, will replace him.

TAZ's last official game was against MOUZ NXT in March 2023 as part of the Polish team HONORIS during the CCT Central Europe Series 5. He is currently 38 years old and has been the coach of the team since December 2023, this club being his first coaching role. His first trophy was at IEM Dallas 2024. Interestingly, TAZ was the winner of his first IEM tournament as a player and became the winner of the 100th IEM event.

For m0NESY, this will be the first tournament he misses with G2 since joining the team. For G2, this could be a significant blow, as m0NESY is a leading player who makes a lot of difference in the game, evidenced by his 6.9 rating.

G2 will start their performance at the tournament on Wednesday against Team Spirit in Group B. This will be the second consecutive tournament where they will play with a substitution. Whether they can win this time remains to be seen.
