Liquid denied NAVI's transfer request for YEKINDAR

Yesterday, after Natus Vincere's star player, Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostylev announced that he is taking a break from competitive Counter-Strike appearances, information emerged that the Ukrainian organization is trying to sign Liquid's player Mareks "YEKINDAR" Galinskis.

However, as reported by Dust2.us, Steve "jokasteve" Perino from Liquid confirmed that Liquid informed NAVI that the Latvian is not for sale. Clearly, the organization wants to retain the star player for its future, yet to be announced lineup.

If all the rumors are confirmed, the updated Liquid roster will look as follows:

  • Keith "NAF" Markovic
  • Kasper "cadiaN" Moller
  • Felipe "skullz" Medeiros
  • Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
  • Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis
  • Wilton "zews" Prado (coach)

It's still unknown when Liquid will announce the new lineup. The organization has declined participation in CS2 Asia Championships 2023 and Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and has no more planned events for this year.
