Liquid advances to the quarterfinals of the ESL Pro League after defeating Complexity 2-0

Team Liquid made a strong move into the quarterfinals of the  ESL Pro League Season 20 by defeating their North American rivals Complexity with a 2-0 shutout. This victory means that Liquid will continue their fight on the way to the finals, where their next opponent will be European giant G2 Esports.

Match progress:

  • The first Nuke map was a complete domination of Liquid. The team won it with a score of 13:2, leaving Complexity no chance of a comeback. YEKINDAR showed a brilliant game on this map, scoring 114 ADR and becoming the MVP of the map with a rating of 10.0.
  • ultimate and Twistzz also had a significant impact on the game in the match, showing excellent coordination and individual skills. Ultimate finished the match with a rating of 8.4 and became the MVP of the match, while YEKINDAR finished with a rating of 7.6, which confirms their contribution to the team's success.

On the second map, Anubis, Liquid again proved their superiority, finishing with a score of 13:7. Twistzz helped the team secure the victory, although his stats were less impressive than in previous games. Ultimate was once again the best player of the match.

Problems of Complexity:

For Complexity, this match was the end of their ESL Pro League campaign. The team looked weak on both maps, unable to adapt to Liquid's fast game, and constantly under pressure. Despite the fact that EliGE and Hallzerk tried their best, their efforts were not enough to succeed - they finished the match with low ratings and a lack of individual performance.

What's next:

Liquid will meet G2 Esports in the quarterfinals. It will be a tough challenge, as G2 has been in great form throughout the tournament. However, with powerful individual players like ultimate, YEKINDAR, and experienced leaders like Twistzz, Liquid has every chance to compete with the European giant.

The prize pool of $750,000 USD continues to be a great motivation for all teams. The winner will receive $170,000 and 2000 BLAST Premier points, which will allow them to consolidate their place among the season leaders.
