Kjaerbye's Team defeated olofmeister's Team in the final of the SteelSeries Invitational CS2 Legends 2023. The match took place on Counter-Strike 2 and ended with a score of 2:0.

The SteelSeries Invitational CS2 Legends 2023 is a one-day online tournament between CS:GO legends Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, and Kenny "kennyS" Schrub. Each of the players assembled their own team, with which they competed for a prize pool of $12,000.

Kjaerbye's Team started the event with a defeat against olofmeister's Team, but then made a speedrun through the lower bracket, where they defeated TaZ's Team and kennyS' Team. In the finals, the team took revenge on olofmeister's Team on Mirage (13:11) and Anubis (13:10) maps.

Kjaerbye has been suspended from his active professional career in Counter-Strike for more than a year now. The last time we saw him, he was playing for Endpoint, with whom he entered the ESL Pro League Season 16. Recently, the Dane worked in the analytics studio of the English-language broadcast of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2023.
