Yesterday, after the Ninjas in Pyjamas match against FaZe Clan, NiP rifler Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke tweeted his thoughts about the defeat using sexual context, after which the community literally ate the player alive.
Here's how the player's tweet looked:
I feel violated, GG FaZe
But after numerous negative comments, the player deleted it and made a new one:
Sorry, didnt know it was a soft spot in context.

Ggwp @FaZeClan 1-2 we got rekt
Sorry, I didn't know it was a painful topic in context. Well played, good game FaZe Clan. 1-2, we got hit.
And after all the messages, k0nfig apologized to the fans:
Sorry if I hurt your feelings. The intention was not to offend. It was a joke. I know that sexual violence is not a joke, and it really happens. I'm not trying to exaggerate this or change anything. That was not my intention. Chill out.
Recall that the match took place yesterday as the first match for both teams in the group stage of the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023. The FaZe Clan literally smeared their opponents on the last two maps and won the match with a score of 2:1 (Mirage 14:16, Overpass 16:5, Nuke 16:7). In total, the ninjas were only able to win 12 rounds over the last two maps.
And today, FaZe Clan will meet G2 for a slot in the final of group B. Meanwhile, NiP will fight for survival in a match against Astralis.
IEM Cologne 2023 is taking place from July 26 to August 6 in Germany. The teams are competing for a prize pool of one million dollars and a slot at IEM Katowice 2024. You can follow the schedule and results of the championship here.
