It has been revealed how many cheaters were banned in the open qualifiers for the RMR to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024

The developers of the anti-cheat Akros, which is used by the organizers of the open qualifying tournaments for the RMR to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for CS2, have presented statistics on the number of violators who have been punished so far. The representatives of Akros shared this information on social networks.

It is known that more than 30 players were caught using third-party software. The statement also specifies that cheating in CS2 has gotten out of control.

Regarding the current number of bans by Akros during the open qualifiers [for the RMR to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024] on the Challengermode platform. Since the beginning of the qualifiers, we have permanently banned more than 30 cheaters at all events where our protection system will be used. Almost all cheats detected by our team operate at the kernel level or are hardware-based. We continue to issue bans using automated analysis and consider cases as they come in. Our experience during this event has taught us one very important thing: cheating in CS2 has completely gotten out of control.
  

The open qualifiers for the RMR to PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 are taking place in eight different regions from January 8 to 17. Everywhere except China, the Challengermode platform, which uses the Akros anti-cheat, serves as the venue.

In the European qualifiers, at least two disqualified teams are already known — QuackQuack and EC Kostroma. Both teams were accused of using third-party programs.
