Bobm sites on Inferno are considered the most difficult to retake.
Inferno became the most challenging map to retake after analyzing 18 million matchmaking games.
The leetify portal analyzed matchmaking games and calculated the success of retakes on all maps of the current competitive pool. In the case of Inferno, both points are considered the most difficult, which complicates the situation for CT if the bomb is already planted.
The easiest point for taking CT was plot B on Nuke. About 33% of retake attempts succeed. In second place is point B on Ancient, with a success rate of 31.3%.

What do these statistics mean?
Considering these data, it is possible to conclude that Inferno is the easiest map to attack quickly. And if you pay attention to the statistics on the maps at IEM Katowice 2023, T wins more rounds on Inferno: more than 53% of the rounds end in favor of the attack. However, this conclusion still needs to be corrected.

After all, if the point is difficult to retake, then it is also difficult to attack. Speaking of point B on Inferno, the attack has only two entrances, one of which goes through the CT-spawn, so if you quickly take the bomb site from T, there is exactly one entrance, which significantly complicates the situation for the attack.
In addition, at point B there is a huge number of positions and shelters that facilitate defense. Therefore, this statistic speaks not only about the difficulty of the retake for CT but also about the difficulty of taking a point for the attack.
Why do the statistics look like this?
The probability of success on the most difficult and the simplest for a retake differs by more than 10%. Why is the difference so big?
The answer to this question will be found very simply if you consider the design of these points. Inferno can be entered on point B only from two sides, although there are two entrances from one of the sides. At the same time, it is very easy to control all entrances, and if grenades are in the attack, they can be easily closed. In addition, B has many closed positions, which are difficult to cope with during a retake. Almost the same applies to point A.
And if you look at point B on Nuke, it will become clear why it is so easy to retake it. This point can be accessed from three sides with five entrances, and inside the point, there is almost no cover, which is why it is well visible, and the positions for inspection are extremely few. For the same reason, point A on Anubis is also easy to retake.

How does this affect the popularity of maps?
At IEM Katowice 2023, Inferno was the most popular map, and most likely, its popularity's secret lies in its being well-balanced for T-side. In addition, the attack feels good on this map, which is used by teams with not the strongest map pools. One of these teams is Natus Vincere, and it is this team whose Inferno has become the most popular card in the tournament.
