Today, on its official website, CS2 Case Tracker summarized the year 2023 in cases. The team calculated the number of opened cases, keys, and much more. As a result, Valve earned $1,000,000,000 from cases in 2023.

Overall, the price of cases rose by 178% in 2023, which gave Valve even more profit. The most significant growth was shown by the Danger Zone Case, whose price increased by 492%.

In total, 400,318,821 cases were opened in Counter-Strike in 2023, and 359.6 million keys were purchased. In all, $980 million was spent on all these delights.

The most expensive case in 2023 was the CS:GO Weapon Case, which reached a price of $25 at one point. The most popular case for opening was the Dreams & Nightmares Case, which was opened 50,511,222 times. This beauty alone brought Valve $126.3 million.

On April 25, 2023, following the release of the Anubis Collection Package, enthusiasts opened the largest number of loot boxes in the game for the entire year. A total of 6.6 million were opened.
