Imperial will take part in the BLAST spring finals in Washington.
Gabriel FalleN Toledo's team defeated paiN in the finals of the American BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2023. The match ended 2-0, and Imperial took the last slot in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023.
How did the match go?
The first map turned out to be the most intense in the series. The first half ended with a score of 7-8 in favor of Imperial, and they reached the 15th round first. However, at 15-12, paiN rallied and won two rounds in a row, leaving Imperial without money for the 30th round. It would seem that paiN won easily, but the team could not cope with the pressure, which led to the following round:
For paiN, it wasn't easy to recover. However, in the first half of the second map, the team was able to resist Imperial, then after the change of sides, the FalleN team did not leave any chances to their opponents and finished the map with a score of 16-9.
What are Imperial's chances at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023?
Imperial qualified for a challenging event because there are only star participants among the eight teams. To show a decent result, the FalleN’s team will have to win against G2, FaZe, Heroic, Natus Vincere, Vitality, Cloud9, or Astralis, which may prove difficult.
However, Imperial performed quite confidently at Showdown, beating Complexity and paiN, currently considered the best American teams. Of course, one should not expect victory from the FalleN’s team, but the team can beat several European teams.
