James Banks, the manager of the Counter-Strike 2 team Bad News Eagles, shared his emotions about the team's transition into the roster of the Guild Eagles organization. Prior to this, Bad News Eagles had been without a club for nearly two years.
James Banks joined Bad News Eagles in May of the previous year. The Briton served as the manager of the Counter-Strike 2 squad. Along with him, the team participated in three majors: PGL Major Antwerp 2022, Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, and BLAST.tv Major Paris 2023.
"I am so happy and proud that we decided to wait, reject other offers, and choose Guild as our new home. I joined Bad News Eagles after interviewing rigoN at the Antwerp major and just learning about their journey. It was impressive. 5 players and a coach did everything they could, but they definitely needed more help, it became too hard for them to focus on doing their best on the server when so much was happening outside of it,"
Recently, Bad News Eagles were acquired by the British organization Guild, which is owned by former Manchester United footballer David Beckham. The Kosovar team became a real phenomenon in the world of CS:GO and managed to surprise all fans of the game.
Now, Bad News Eagles have high chances of qualifying for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, which will be the first major in Counter-Strike 2. Prior to this, the team's highest achievement was finishing 12-14th at the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022 and BLAST.tv Major Paris 2023.
