IEM Sydney 2023 announced

Tournament operator ESL has announced IEM Sydney 2023 for CS:GO. This series of championships will take place in Australia for the first time in four years. The information about the competition was shared on the company's official Twitter account.

When will IEM Sydney 2023 take place?

IEM Sydney 2023, one of the most anticipated CS:GO tournaments, will bring together the best players and teams from around the world in Sydney, Australia, from October 16th to 22nd. The championship will feature a prize pool of $250,000 and a slot at IEM Katowice 2024.

The impressive Aware Super Theatre will serve as the venue for the tournament's playoffs, capable of accommodating up to 9,000 spectators. IEM Sydney 2023 is also part of the fifth season of the Intel Grand Slam. Winning the competition can bring a team not only fame but also progress in the race for the grand prize in the form of golden bars.

Participating teams of IEM Sydney 2023

Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament. Eleven teams will be directly invited, and their list will be announced later. In addition, the winners of regional qualifiers will be represented in Sydney: two teams from Europe, as well as one team each from North America, Asia, and Oceania.
