How to fix the message “VAC was unable to verify the game session” in Counter-Strike 2?

As often happens with updates in Counter-Strike 2, along with fixing old bugs, players encounter new problems. After another update, a number of users faced the error “VAC was unable to verify the game session”.

Data miner Thour shared a way to remove this message:

• Switch Steam to offline mode
• Close Steam.exe, restart it as an administrator
  
• Return Steam to online mode
  
• Perform file integrity checks.
