The ranking system was one of the innovations introduced in Counter-Strike 2 in early September 2023, giving players a more accurate and objective measure of individual skill level than the rankings.
Along with this, Valve has also added leaderboards, including friend, world, and seven separate region leaderboards that display the top 1,000 players in a given category.
With all this information in mind, the next question is what is the minimum rating in CS2 to be on the leaderboard?
The answer to this question depends on the region you are in. In some cases, the difference can be enormous.
- Africa: minimum 9764 rating points
- Australia: 14,218
- South America: 17537
- North America: 17878
- Asia: 18349
- Europe: 20422
- World: 21342.

The numbers of the minimum required rating will definitely change. The more players get access to CS2 and the more they play, the harder it will be to break into a particular leaderboard.
