In CS2, alignment of hitboxes and several other bugs have been fixed

On the night of October 10th, Valve released an update for Counter-Strike 2, in which they fixed the hitbox alignment issue relative to the character model. The developers also addressed several other bugs. The patch notes have been published on the official CS2 website.

Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where the legs appeared black when viewed through the scope.
  • Fixed a memory leak caused by particles.

Animation

  • Corrected multiple hitbox alignment errors.
  • Fixed an issue where knife rotation was not as fast as in CS:GO.
  • Fixed an issue where the M4A4 and M4A1-S bolt did not move during the cocking animation.
  • Fixed an issue where inspecting a weapon could interrupt suppressor switching animations.

Maps

  • Various bug fixes and adjustments to Mirage, Vertigo, and Nuke maps.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed several errors in the match search menu.
  • Various bug fixes and changes in weapon finishes and stickers.
  • Fixed an issue where equipment changes were not saved if the game was closed shortly after making changes.
  • Fixed an issue where the status of friends' matches in Steam was delayed or missing.
  • Improved CPU performance for weapon tracers.
  • Added an official data processing center for matchmaking in Chengdu, China.

CS2 was released on September 27th. The updated Valve shooter is available for free to all players and has completely replaced CS:GO. Some esports players have criticized the developers for the state of CS2. For instance, Nikola NiKo Kovac stated that the game is not ready for the competitive scene.
