In an elimination match at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, Team Heroic, despite three substitutions in the lineup, defeated Astralis in the Danish derby. The match ended with a score of 2-0: Ancient (13:8) and Overpass (16:13); Astralis again gave up an incredible comeback, losing 13 rounds in a row.
The first map began with total domination by Astralis – 8:0. As in yesterday's match against Complexity, team captain Benjamin "blameF" Bremer began shouting various phrases at the opponent and, as yesterday, after that the opponent began the comeback. Heroic won 13 rounds in a row, so Astralis's performance can be considered progress, yesterday the Danes lost 14.
The second map was more intriguing, Heroic brought the score to 11:4, but then gave away seven rounds in a row. Overpass reached overtimes, and there Astralis had no chance. The main architect of Heroic's success was Rasmus “sjuush” Beck, who scored 7.2 and had a statistic of 43:32.
Astralis became the second team after NIP to leave BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023. Heroic made it to the playoffs and almost guaranteed themselves a performance in front of the Royal Arena audience, which is very important for the team captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller, for whom this tournament will be the last in the Norwegian organization. Here's how he commented on the victory on Twitter:
2:0 against Astralis! I’m so proud and happy of the boys. Didn’t want my heroic journey to end with a loss to them. One more game for the arena! LETS GO
