The first round of Group B of the European RMR for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 in CS:GO has come to an end, with each team playing one match. Several matches in the first round ended with truly sensational results.
Monte defeated ENCE
In the first round, Monte faced off against ENCE. The Ukrainian team received a lot of attention, as they have been performing very strongly in online tournaments and have become one of the best on the tier-2 scene in less than six months. And the increased attention proved to be justified - Monte showed their best side.
The Ukrainian team not only won the first half - they didn't give ENCE a chance. 12:3 is a score that is almost impossible to come back from. Monte demonstrated a very high level, even in clutch situations.
ENCE tried to make a comeback after the devastating first half, but they only managed to win 11 rounds. The final score was 16:11, and Monte moves on to the 1-0 bracket.

G2 lost to 9INE
The G2 vs 9INE match was supposed to be an easy one without any surprises. However, things didn't go according to plan in the first half. G2 started off unconfidently - the team lost as attackers on Nuke with a score of 5:10. Yes, after that, Rasmus HooXi Nielsen's team made a comeback, but they still lacked confidence, which caused them to crumble at 14:14. 9INE won the match with a score of 16:14, and G2 fell into the 0-1 bracket.

Aurora defeated Spirit
In another match, Aurora Gaming defeated Team Spirit in the first round of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: European RMR B. The result of the confrontation on Ancient was 16:13.
Aleksandr KENSI Gurkin was the best player of the match, receiving a rating of 7.5. In this match, he demonstrated a form that was 10% better than his average over the last six months.
