ENCE's captain for Counter-Strike 2, Lukas gla1ve Rossander, spoke about the team's failure at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. The Danish esports player shared his opinion in an interview with HLTV.
Rossander talked about the atmosphere within the team, as well as the future of the lineup. He noted that if the club wants to assemble a competitive roster in time for the major, they need to work quickly.
[What can you say about the atmosphere in the team?] We tried to do as well as possible. They are some nice guys personally, we try to have as much fun as possible, but I think people are a bit uncertain about their futures, and that of course affects the team. We didn't really practice too much to be honest (chuckles) so of course that hurt us. But that's how it is. It's the end of the season. The other guys have been playing a lot, maybe feeling a little bit tired and all this kind of stuff. <...>
[You will be able to put together a competitive roster?] Of course. It depends on what players we get but if we get good players I think kuben and I can build a really good system to able to be succeed. So, hopefully, it will be really good and we are trying to get as good players as possible. A lot of people are under contract, and the roster lock for the Major or RMRs is really close, so we have to work really fast. We will try as much as possible and I have no idea what the future looks like.
In Group A at BLAST Premier: World Final 2023, gla1ve's team first lost to Cloud9, and then to Natus Vincere. As a result, ENCE was eliminated from the tournament, finishing in 7th-8th place, and earned $15,000 in prize money.
