Today, the German organization G2 Esports released a video on their social networks with a farewell address to their former coach, Jan "Swani" Müller. He spent a total of 760 days with the team.
On December 11, 2023, it was announced that Jan "Swani" Müller would soon leave his position as the coach of G2 Esports. On the same day, the organization announced their new coach, Viktor "TaZ" Wojtas.
In his address to the public, Müller expressed that he decided to leave his position on his own initiative. He noted that the coaching profession had brought him significant challenges. Müller stated his desire to devote more time to personal health and family, thanking the team for their time together and the warm moments shared.
Under Swani's leadership, the G2 team achieved successes, including victories at tournaments like BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, IEM Katowice 2023, and IEM Cologne 2023, as well as securing prize places in other major championships. Who will lead the G2 team in CS2 following Müller's departure remains unknown at the time of this publication.
