Despite high expectations for G2's participation in CCT Online Finals 5, the tournament did not set a new viewership record. It could even be said that the results did not live up to expectations.
The match with the most viewers, 62,515, was between G2 and Guild Eagles, and all four G2 matches were among the top five most popular encounters of the tournament. The only match without G2 in the top 5 was RED Canids vs. Sprout, which attracted 56,690 viewers.
The presence of G2, one of the top teams in the world in Counter-Strike 2, was anticipated as the key to the success of CCT Online Finals 5 in terms of viewer interest. However, despite their popularity and high level of play, this tournament did not become the record holder of the series.

This is only the fourth result among all CCT Online Finals, with CCT Online Finals 2 remaining the leader with a record viewership of 85,919 for the match between MIBR and Aurora. The only event that showed worse results than the fifth season is CCT Online Finals 1.
G2, competing in a new lineup, finished 5-6th at CCT Online Finals 5, beating Fluxo and Sprout, but losing to Aurora and Guild Eagles. The absence of strong Brazilian teams, which usually attract the attention of South American viewers, may also have affected the overall viewership numbers.
This result underscores that the presence of one top team does not guarantee automatic growth in viewer interest, and highlights the importance of diversifying participants to attract a wide audience.
