At the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, we will see four legendary players who took part in the first Major - DreamHack Winter 2013 - and continue to perform at the highest level. These are Snax, karrigan, KRiMZ and apEX. Their journey through the Major is a story of triumphs, challenges, and an unwavering desire to win.
Snax: Polish talent with a great heritage
Snax is one of the most famous Polish players in the history of Counter-Strike, whose career is mainly associated with the legendary Virtus.pro team. He is known for his clever playstyle, innovative solutions, and incredible highlights that have gone down in the history of the game. Snax participated in 14 majors and won the championship title once.
Snax's main achievements:
- His first major was DreamHack Winter 2013 as a member of Universal Soldiers, where the team finished in the group stage.
- Snax won the major at EMS One Katowice 2014 as a member of Virtus.pro, where the team won a confident victory in front of the home crowd.

- He won two majors in a row with fnatic - ESL One Katowice 2015 and ESL One Cologne 2015.

apEX: Legend of the majors
apEX is a true Counter-Strike veteran, one of the few who has been participating in the majors since the beginning of the CS:GO era. His career has been associated with numerous teams, including Vitality, Envy, G2, and Clan-Mystik. During his career, he not only won titles, but also became a symbol of stability and professionalism.
Main achievements of apEX:
- apEX attended his first major as a member of Clan-Mystik at DreamHack Winter 2013, and although the team did not achieve great success, it was the start of a brilliant career.
- After Clan-Mystik, apEX became a part of such top teams as LDLC, Titan, Envy, G2, and finally Vitality.
- apEX has won majors twice: DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015 with Envy and BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with Vitality.

In addition to the four players who competed at DreamHack Winter 2013 and will play at Perfect World Shanghai 2024, three legends of that first tournament will return to this major in new roles. Xyp9x, NEO, and TaZ, who participated in DH Winter 2013 as players, will now become part of the major as coaches. Xyp9x will represent MOUZ as an assistant coach, NEO will coach FaZe Clan, and TaZ will act as a coach for G2 Esports, continuing his career in new roles.
The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be a historic event not only because of the return of these legends, but also because of the new talent. The tournament will take place in Shanghai, where $1,250,000 will be played.
