The iBUYPOWER player will be able to return to CS2 - his ban for 322 is no longer indefinite

The North American player Joshua "steel" Nissan, who became famous for participating in a fixed match for iBUYPOWER, announced that his ban term for tournaments from Valve has been given a specific end date. He announced this on his personal Twitter.

He will be able to make a full return to the Valve competitive cycle in one year and two months.

After 10 years [from the ban date], in January 2025, I will be allowed to participate in partner events of Valve. No matter what, I never gave up. I'm ready for something new and more positive.

Despite such a long ban, after the 322 incident, steel played in tournaments from third-party operators for several years, then switched to Valorant, came back to Counter-Strike, and now plays in regional events in North America as part of Bad News Bears.

Recall that, in addition to Joshua, his teammates also received a ban for participating in fixed matches in 2015 as part of iBUYPOWER. Valve initially designated his block as "lifetime", but it seems the player has been pardoned. Whether his former teammates from the infamous team will face a similar fate is unknown.
