YaLLa Compass tournament organizers have announced that Cloud9's team spot will be taken by fnatic, as the American organization failed to register a full roster before the deadline.
Cloud9 recently sold Denis “electroNic” Sharipov to Virtus.pro and moved Abay “HObbit” Khasenov and Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy to the bench, leaving the team without a full roster. This has forced Cloud9 to withdraw from ESL Pro League S19, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and now YaLLa Compass tournaments.
With a twist of fate, WELCOME FNATIC!🤩@Cloud9 was unable to register a full roster in time

The Cloud9 team will be replaced by fnatic, who will be making their first LAN tournament appearance with a new player, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer. Since the signing of blameF, the team has only participated in one event, CCT Global Finals 2024, where they lost in the group stage to GamerLegion and ENCE, despite blameF's 6.5 rating.
Earlier, we have already written about what will be the participants of the YaLLa Compass tournament, it is 12 teams, namely - Astralis, BetBoom, Complexity, ENCE, Eternal Fire, FURIA, HEROIC, TheMongolz, NIP, BIG, Sashi and fnatic.
The tournament itself will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a prize pool of $400,000. The competition will start with two BO1 round-robin groups of six teams, with the top six teams advancing to the playoffs.
