Fnatic parts ways with coach in CS2 team - Best roster change in the last 4 years?

Today, it became known that Jamie "keita" Hall has left his position as coach of FNATIC in CS2. This can be called the best transfer for the organization in the last 4 years. This transfer happened after the team finished the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Opening Stage with a 0-3 record in the Swiss Stage.

Arrival of Keita

Keita joined the roster in 2021, after leaving Complexity, where he managed to win the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals. Upon joining Fnatic, he had the potential to rehabilitate the team but ultimately led it to fail.

Why keita's departure is the best transfer

During keita's tenure, fnatic experienced both highs and lows. The team secured trophies such as DreamHack Open November 2021 and Elisa Masters Espoo 2022, and also reached the top-8 at IEM Rio Major 2022. However, stability was not achieved. Over three years, more than 20 players passed through the roster, and fnatic gradually sank to the middle of the world rankings.

The decline was particularly noticeable at the last major. A challenging qualification through RMR and painful defeats by teams like Rare Atom demonstrated the need for changes.

Roster rebuilding in 2025

After the sensational exit from the major, FNATIC management announced that the roster would be completely rebuilt in 2025. The coaching staff will be completely revamped, and it is already known that besides keita, Miks "Independent" Cilinskis, who held the position of assistant coach, has also left the roster.

Community Reaction

Many reacted positively to the coach's departure, with numerous comments stating: “Finally.” While it appears negative on one side, fans are hoping for much better results. They have already suggested various options for the coaching position, including BERRY, ash, and GeT_RiGhT.

Most likely, keita's departure is not the last from the active roster. There is currently no information about any changes in FNATIC, but they are inevitable. Therefore, it is worth expecting two or three more player departures from the main lineup. Who do you think will leave the roster? Share in the comments.
