FMPONE showed new screenshots of Santorini.

Today, American designer FMPONE showed new screenshots of the De_Santorini map. Sean "FMPONE" Snelling announced this on his Twitter.

Recall that FMPONE is the creator of several maps that were in the official map pool in CS:GO:

• CACHE
• SANTORINI
  
• MUSEUM
• SEASON
  
• GWALIOR
  
• ANEMIA
•  SUBZERO
  

However, all previously created maps still remain on the Source 1 engine version, but this new SANTORINI is already being transferred to the Source 2 engine.

But FMPONE creates maps not only for Counter-Strike, the mapmaker also creates maps for Half-Life.

Here's how FMPONE describes their new map:

A bomb defusal map set in Santorini, Greece. Terrorists are determined to destabilize the fragile Greek economy by attacking one of its main tourist destinations.

It should also be noted that the old SANTORINI map for CS:GO can be downloaded from the Steam workshop for a long time, it is available there in open access. The map was added on November 2, 2015, and the last change was made on March 4, 2016.

In total, 62 changes were made to the map. Earlier there were rumors that this map was supposed to be included in Wingman 2x2 Competitve CS:GO, but this never happened.

It is too early to talk about the release of the new version on CS2, as the game itself has not yet even been released for open beta testing.
