flameZ officially replaced dupreeh in Vitality's CS:GO lineup

French club Vitality have announced the signing of Israeli OG riffler Shahar flameZ Shushan to replace 30-year-old Danish player Peter dupreeh Rasmussen.

As a member of Vitality, dupreeh has won three tournaments: EPL Season 16, IEM Rio 2023 and the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. He is the only player to ever win CS:GO majors five times and go down in history.

A comparison of the statistics shows that the young Israeli's advantage in terms of indicators is not so great, in many ways dupreeh could make up for such a difference with his solid experience. He could still be a valuable asset for many Tier-1 organizations.

Reactions from Players

Very excited and proud to join the hive today! I'm ready to put all my efforts into this new step in my career. I truly believe that together we can accomplish a lot, let's get to work!

dupreeh, in turn, confirmed his intentions to continue his career and to play in the CS2 majors if he can find the right organization.

I still feel that I'm at the peak of my prowess, and I'll spend the summer break to decide what should be the next chapter of my life. Obviously, I would like to win my 6th major in my hometown next year, but winning a major is not easy. I would have to find a team and an organization that shared my ambition, professionalism and willingness to sacrifice to achieve my goal.
Peter Rasmussen

Winning the majors is no panacea

Both Outsiders after the superiority in the previous major in Rio and Vitality after Paris didn't want to keep the roster and fight for new championships. But if the Russians were just confused about who's favorite player, the Vitality team made the decision in the belief that they needed to grow as a team, which was supported by coach Zonic.

The revamped Vitality squad will debut on July 13 at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2023, the first big tournament after the summer offseason. Five of the twelve other participating teams have officially changed or are in the process of changing their rosters. That's why loyal Counter-Strike fans definitely shouldn't miss this event.
