First details of the closed beta test for Valorant Mobile (Project C)

August 17 marked the first day of the closed beta test for Valorant Mobile (Project C), which is being conducted exclusively in China and only on the Android operating system. Players and dataminers who have access to the beta test are actively discussing and showcasing the initial details of the mobile version of Valorant.

Upon their first game entry, players are greeted by a beautiful animated video, followed by the tutorial mode. This mode is quite different from the PC version, with the only similarity being that both start on a training map. However, the training itself is substantially different.

In "tutorial" mode, players are introduced to the game basics, from movement and shooting to an actual round against bots. Players will have to make purchases and, alongside Sage, defend position A from enemies on the Ascent map. The tutorial ends with an epic moment when Jett sacrifices herself to protect the player who is defusing the bomb against Raze's ultimate ability. More details can be found in the aforementioned video.

Agent Details

During the closed beta test, only 14 agents are available in the game, with 5 becoming accessible after completing the "tutorial" mode. Agents confirmed in the game include Jett, Viper, Sova, Sage, Raze, Breach, Killjoy, Phoenix, Brimstone, and Reyna. Agents that become freely available after completing the tutorial are Phoenix, Sage, Reyna, Sova, and Jett.

Main Mode

The main mode has undergone changes: the number of rounds before switching sides is 7, and the team that first wins 8 rounds will emerge as the game's victor. The mobile version also features a button that automatically makes the recommended purchase with a single press.
