Fear refuses to represent Russia: his team can miss ESL Challenger Katowice 2023: European Open Qualifier

Experienced captain of the young Ukrainian team The Witchers Rodion fear Smyk refuses to play a match against Nexus, as the team's flag on the match page on HLTV shows the flag of Russia, not Ukraine.

The match is part of the ESL Challenger Katowice 2023: European Open Qualifier.

This is how Rodion spoke about this situation:

We wrote an important message to HLTV about changing the flag.
There is a war going on in my country. I had a lot of opportunities to perform in strong RU collectives, as you all know. Of course, I didn't do that. And now I'm not going to perform under the Russian flag!

The team's flag was certainly displayed automatically since the Ukrainian player Egor s1zen Pushkar was replaced by the Russian Evgeny Aunkere Karyat for this match.

Fear also stated that he had already sent a message to HLTV with an appeal to change his team's flag to Ukrainian! And he also talked about his further plans of action. The first of which is the complete withdrawal of the team from qualification.

Then he proposed to change Aunkere to the Ukrainian player n0tineki. This player was supposed to play for the team yesterday but could not for personal reasons.

And the most logical thing out of this situation is simply changing the team's flag to Ukrainian!

However, the main roster of the team includes 3 Ukrainian players and 2 Russian players, and it looks like this:
