Today, the price of the FaZe Clan team's shares fell to a critical level - $0.5, which makes the shares cheaper than almost all the team's stickers.
The FaZe Clan organization, founded in 2010 and famous for its teams in various esports disciplines, became one of the first esports clubs to go public. In June 2022, FaZe Clan held an initial public offering on NASDAQ. Each share cost was $10.
However, despite all expectations, at the beginning of 2023, the price of shares of the esports organization fell sharply, and now they are worth about 50 cents. According to the stock exchange conditions, the price of shares must be at least one dollar, but FaZe Clan still cannot rise to this level.
The peak price of the club's shares was $17.4! This price was on September 2, 2022. It is unclear why prices jumped because, at that time, the team could have performed better during competitions. Only in June, the team won the Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne, where in the final, they beat NAVI with a score of 3:2 and took home $400,000.
The situation is aggravated because, on the "Trading Platform" in Steam, the prices of FaZe Clan team stickers exceed the stock price on the stock exchange. For example, glitter, holographic and gold stickers in honor of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 costs from $0.12 to $28.42. Thus, almost all club stickers exceed the value of one share on the stock exchange.
Despite all this, FaZe Clan remains one of the world's most popular and well-known esports clubs. The club participates in many international tournaments and has many admirers and fans around the world. However, the low share price and expensive stickers mean the club must solve its problems to maintain its market position.
The next tournament for FaZe will be the last CS:GO Major - BLAST.tv Major Challengers Stage 2023, where the team plays in the "Challengers" group.
The team will play its first match against the Monte tomorrow at 11:30 AM.
Let us remind you that BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 will take place from May 8 to 21, 2023, where teams will compete for $1.2 million!
