A year with high expectations
SunPayus joined the Falcons in December 2023, reuniting with former ENCE teammates Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and Pavel “Maden” Boskovic. However, despite high expectations, he failed to reach the level he demonstrated in 2023, when he was ranked sixth in the world's best players. His average rating while playing for the Falcons was 6.3.
In September, SunPayus was sent to the bench. In an attempt to qualify for the Shanghai Major, Falcons added Olexander “s1mple” Kostyliev to the roster, but even with him, the team failed to win a ticket to the main tournament.
Rumors about moving to HEROIC
There are currently rumors that SunPayus will join the updated HEROIC roster in 2025. It is expected that he will again work in the team under the guidance of his former coach at ENCE, Eetu “sAw” Saha. According to insiders, HEROIC's roster will also include Linus “nilo” Bergman and a trio of players from Sangal: Linus “LNZ” Holtang, Jasin “xfl0ud” Koc and Simon “yxngstxr” Boyer.
Summarizing the performances at Falcons
During his time with the Falcons, SunPayus helped the team achieve several significant results. The team took 3-4 places at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and IEM Katowice 2024. Nevertheless, the season was unsuccessful overall, which led to drastic changes in the team.
What's next for Falcons and SunPayus?
Falcons now have a new task with a new team for the new season. As for SunPayus, the transition to HEROIC will be an opportunity to regain form and return to the top as one of the best snipers in the world.
