Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg has officially retired from his career as a professional player. After 17 years in Counter-Strike, he transitions to the role of ambassador for Ninjas in Pyjamas, opening a new chapter in his life.

Long Road to the Top

f0rest is considered one of the greatest legends of Counter-Strike, shining in both version 1.6 and CS. The Swede began his journey with teams Begrip, Fnatic, and SK Gaming, later continuing with GeT_RiGhT, gaining incredible recognition as part of NiP.

This duo brought unprecedented success to the team, including a 87-match winning streak in LAN matches in 2012-2013 and a championship at ESL Cologne 2014. Throughout his career, f0rest claimed 23 trophies at LAN tournaments, cementing his name in Counter-Strike history.

First Tournament in the New Role

f0rest will debut as NiP ambassador at the Svenska Cupen tournament, where the team will face Alliance in the semifinals. He highlighted the importance of the tournament as a platform to watch young Swedish players and pointed out promising talents like spooke and poiii.

Show Match with a Legend

Additionally, the tournament will feature a show match where f0rest will once again play with his former teammates, except for Fifflaren. The team lineup looks like this:

  • Xizt
  • friberg
  • f0rest
  • Get_RiGhT
  • Lekr0

Their opponent is still unknown, but most likely it will be a team from the tournament.

At the moment, f0rest doesn't plan to become a coach; he intends to share his experience with NiP. Reflecting on the paths of his former teammates, he noted how each has grown while remaining close.

Conclusion

The end of f0rest's career marks the conclusion of an era in Counter-Strike, but his legacy and influence will remain, inspiring the new generation of players.
