After defeating Rare Atom at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, we interviewed Legacy player Lucas “lux” Meneghini. In our conversation with Bo3.gg, we discussed the team's loss in the first match, problems on the T-side, and the team's goal for the Major.

What is your feeling after making the first victory at the Major right now?

Pretty good, really good.The first day is always tough because the teams prep a lot differently. Different things. Sometimes they come with different maps — we didn’t have that today — but yeah, day one is always tough.

In the first match against FlyQuest you played on Train, and your T side was a little bit weak, you got only two rounds. What exactly did you change in your approach to the second half to avoid repeating the mistakes from the first match?

I think it’s different maps. The CT side on Train is really strong. I think they kind of countered us in some positions, like the long train. We were really countered since the eco that we lost, so I think it was something that impacted us a lot. So in Dust2 we didn’t have this.

But on Dust2 you showed a strong performance. Was it just your default working well, or did Rare Atom still manage to surprise you with something?

Actually, I think they didn’t surprise us a lot. We watched the game before, and it happened in the same way as Imperial. I think we pressed, we had a lot of pressure in T-site so he couldn’t get the info, and I think this helped us a lot to win the CT side 8–4.

After this victory you moved to 1–1 in the Swiss system. How important was it for you to get back on the winning track so quickly after the start of the tournament?

Well, I think it’s really good, because it’s better to win the second match than the first match, because you will go to sleep winning, you know. So yeah, if I had to choose, I would choose this scenario. And it’s good in another way. We have another best-of-one tomorrow. So yeah, new day, new opportunities. We need to focus in the same way and be ready.

Let’s remember the last Major. At the previous Major you were just one step away from elimination, stage three. What about now? What is your minimum goal for this Major?

I think our goal in this Major is of course the playoffs. I think we are really able to make the playoffs — it’s a dream for everybody. But yeah, in this Major I think everyone can win, and of course some teams are more able, more favorites, like FURIA, Vitality, Falcons. But I think we are willing a lot to win this Major.

How many hours do you have in CS?

20K.

What other game have you spent a lot of time in?

Fortnite.

What’s your Elo on Faceit?

It got reset, but I think it’s 3,500 right now, something like that. I’m not a Faceit player.

Who is your favorite teammate in FPL, if you were playing FPL sometimes?

Let me see… let me not forget everyone that I played with in FPL in my life. Actually, I didn’t play FPL in Europe, only in South America. So it will probably be a teammate that I had, like Kawas, for example.

And the last one: At what age should you put your son into play?

Yeah, yeah. Like, I cannot say because it’s prohibited, but something like four.
