Eternal Fire, after yesterday's victory over 9INE, lost to Virtus.pro in the semifinals of the lower bracket of the ESL Pro League Season 18 and dropped to the last chance bracket. The match ended with a score of 0:2.

There was virtually no fight on the first Vertigo map: Virtus.pro won the opponent's spade with a score of 16:10. Next up was Inferno, which ended with an almost identical result — 16:12 not in favor of Eternal Fire.

Eternal Fire will now fight for a slot in the playoffs and the last chance grid. In the semifinals, their opponent will be the weaker of the Cloud9 — Liquid pair. Virtus.pro will play against the winner of this pair in the playoffs in the bottom bracket final.

EPL S18 takes place from August 30 to October 1. The teams are competing for a prize pool of $850 thousand. The champion will also receive quotas to BLAST Premier: World Final 2023 and IEM Katowice 2024. The schedule and results of the competition can be tracked here.
