Eternal Fire defeats G2 and advances to the grand final of BLAST Bounty Spring

Eternal Fire claimed victory over G2 with a score of 2:1, securing a spot in the grand final of BLAST Bounty Spring. Despite difficult starts on all three maps, Eternal Fire showed resilience to emerge victorious from this intense matchup.

This performance confirmed the correctness of the decision to sign Samet "jottAAA" Köklü at the end of last year. Even when Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş did not display his usual dominant form, the team was able to showcase its best qualities.

How the Match Unfolded

The map Anubis, chosen by Eternal Fire, started very poorly: the team did not take a single round in the first seven. G2 dominated on their attack side, using good shooting and precision in their strategic execution. However, a round lost by G2 on the timer became a turning point. Eternal Fire immediately got into the game, reducing the gap to 7:8. Ultimately, Eternal Fire continued to increase the pace and take rounds, thereby winning the map 13-11 without letting it go into overtime.

On G2's map pick, Dust II, Eternal Fire once again started slowly, and G2 comfortably surged ahead with a score of 8:4. Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa became the team leader, scoring 18 kills and 133 ADR. With the sides swapped, G2 took the pistol round, but Eternal Fire decided not to give up and took 5 rounds in a row, and it seemed like another comeback was on the horizon similar to the first map. However, G2 did not let this happen and took 4 rounds in a row, closing this map with a score of 13-9 and moving on to the third, decisive one.

On Nuke, Eternal Fire again started slowly, but by the end of the first half, they managed to level the score at 6:6. In the second half, XANTARES finally showed his usual form, ensuring victory for his team. Despite a couple of dangerous moments, such as a lost force-buy in the late game, the Turks managed to squeeze the opponent and win the map 13-10 and the match 2-1.

The MVP of the match was Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač from G2, who demonstrated a high level of play with a rating of 7.0 and 84 ADR over the three maps.
