Eternal Fire defeated MIBR in the semi-final of ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023 with a score of 2:1. In the decisive match for a slot in ESL Pro League Season 19, the team will play against Monte.
The first map Vertigo, chosen by the Turks, was very close, with both teams having identical halves of 6:6. In the overtimes, Eternal Fire eventually proved their advantage and closed it at 16:13. On Anubis, it was the opposite, and MIBR won their pick with a score of 13:10.
In the decider on Mirage, teams needed as many as 41 rounds to determine the winner. However, with a score of 22:19, Eternal Fire ultimately triumphed. In the final, which will also take place today, the team will meet Monte. This year, these teams have played three times: two victories for Monte and one for Eternal Fire.
ESL Challenger Jonköping 2023 is taking place in Sweden from November 24 to 26. The tournament's prize pool is $100,000. Moreover, the winner will receive a slot in the ESL Pro League Season 19 with a prize pool of $750,000.
