ESL will not change tournament formats until the end of 2023

Marc Winther, Head of Counter-Strike Gaming Ecosystems at ESL, said that the tournament operator is not going to change the tournament formats until the end of 2023.

This means that all future events from ESL will have the same structure as MR15, but at MR12. That is, all events will have the same number of matches despite the saved time due to the reduced duration of the rounds.

With the transition to CS2 and MR12, duration of matches will be impacted, whether BO1 or BO3. But how much? We're monitoring and will explore schedule adjustments once we have data on hand.
Short term we're not looking to do format changes, will evaluate heading into 2024.
