ESL announced the Swedish qualification for ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024. This marks the first such occasion since 2019 when the last Swedish qualifier for Dreamhack Open Winter was held.
Over the past few years, Swedish teams have been fighting for a spot on the international stage through European qualifiers, but 2024 will bring new opportunities. ESL Challenger Jönköping, scheduled for June 14-16, 2024, during Dreamhack Summer, will include not only European, North American, South American, and Asian qualifiers but also a special Swedish qualifier.
This move reflects ESL's desire to support and develop the local esports scene in Sweden. ESL Challenger Jonköping 2024: Swedish Open Qualifier will take place on March 10, and teams can already register to participate. The winner of the qualifier will not only get a chance to compete for a share of the $100,000 prize pool at ESL Challenger Jönköping but also secure a spot in ESL Pro League Season 20.
