Evil Geniuses will no longer appear in ESL tournaments as a partner organization. The sides mutually decided to terminate the partnership under the Louvre Agreements, as announced in a statement on the tournament operator's social media.
ESL has chosen not to seek another partner organization - EG's slot at EPL will now be filled from the list of teams invited based on the ESL World Ranking. The decision seems logical, given Valve's requirement for tournament operators to abandon partnership programs.
It should be noted that the 19th season of the ESL Pro League will be held from April 23 to May 12. At the moment, only 24 of the 36 teams that have been selected are known. The fate of the remaining eight slots will be decided in regional qualifiers and by the ESL ranking.
