ESL has announced the mechanism for slot allocation for the upcoming IEM China 2024 and IEM Dallas 2024 tournaments. In 2024, there will be a total of 18 slots from the Louvre partners for all Master league EPT events, 12 of which will be played at IEM China and IEM Dallas.
IEM China 2024, scheduled for April 8-14, offers 6 slots from the Louvre partners, 4 places according to the ESL world ranking, and 6 qualifier slots. IEM Dallas 2024, taking place in the USA from May 27 to June 2, will also have 6 slots from the Louvre partners, 1 local hero invitation, 4 slots according to the ESL world ranking, and 5 qualifier slots.
Only teams in the top-20 of the ESL world ranking participate in the Louvre Circuit draft tournament. In 2024, the number of available slots (12) exceeds the number of partner teams (10), so the 2 best partner teams will receive invitations to both events.
Among the Louvre partner teams with the highest positions in the ESL world ranking as of January 8, 2024, are FaZe Clan (#1), Team Vitality (#2), MOUZ (#3), Complexity (#4), NAVI (#5), G2 Esports (#7), FURIA Esports (#11), BIG (#12), HEROIC (#13), Astralis (#18), ENCE (#21), Ninjas in Pyjamas (#22), Team Liquid (#29), and Fnatic (#32).
In the second half of 2024, IEM Fall will take place, where the 6 invitations allocated to Louvre teams will be based on the ESL world ranking and issued on July 22. This event will not be subject to drafting.
