The Counter-Strike 2 esports community is abuzz with unconfirmed reports that the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) might soon issue bans to several professional players. It is important to note that these claims are unverified and should be approached with caution.
This rumor comes in 2023 after ban of Ukrainian player sensei, previously part of the team Ex-Akuma. Allegedly, players at risk of facing similar bans include Oleksandr Psycho Zlobin, Serghij Sergiz Atamanchuk, Serghij DemQQ Demchenko, Jevghen j3kie Serghachev. Sergiz has stated he has no knowledge of the situation and emphasized that ESIC has not contacted any Ex-Akuma members.
While the veracity of these allegations remains in question, the potential impact of such bans within the professional CS 2 scene could be significant. The community is advised to await official statements from ESIC for clarity. As of now, these reports stand as uncorroborated, reminding us of the delicate line between rumor and fact in the esports world.
