Finnish organization Elisa has recently announced the launch of a new season of its prestigious tournament, Elisa Invitational. This tournament, which has several stages, starts with open qualifiers in February and culminates in the playoffs in May.
The winner of this series will earn the right to participate in the annual LAN tournament Elisa, traditionally held in Espoo, Finland, as it was in 2022 and 2023. It's worth mentioning that last year's Invitationals opened the doors for Apeks and GamerLegion, who secured a spot in Elisa Masters Espoo 2023.
Qualification matches will take place on February 10-11, followed by the Contenders stage on February 26. At this stage, 12 invited teams will compete alongside four qualifiers' winners. They will compete in a Swiss format group.
The main Swiss stage will start on April 8 and run until May 2, where eight teams that advanced from the Contenders stage will be joined by eight invited teams. The final playoffs, scheduled for May 14-18, will determine the winner and the team that will receive an invitation.
The prize money is distributed as follows:
- $10,000 and an invitation to an unannounced LAN event
- $5,000. 3-4. $2,000 each
- 5-8. $1,000 each
- 9-12. $500 each
