Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, a Counter-Strike legend with five Major titles under his belt, has opened up about not qualifying for the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, marking the first Major he will miss. Despite his team Preasy's efforts, they were unable to secure a spot, ending dupreeh's streak of attending every CS:GO Major.
Obviously, right now, I'm disappointed and sad.
He noted the irony of missing the first Major in his home country, despite being present at all others. Reflecting on the RMR, he acknowledged the team's challenges, including a shaky map pool and early losses. Yet, he remains proud of their attempt and his personal journey.
Dupreeh remains hopeful for the future, planning to attend the Major as a fan and reflecting on his next steps as a player.
I did everything I could to try and be present and I'm proud of myself because of that.
He concluded, facing the reality of his mortality in the competitive scene with a mix of disappointment and resilience.
