Diablo IV has its release scheduled for 2026. Along with it, Blizzard Entertainment has released a yearly roadmap for the game which will include new features as the game progresses. It will include additional updates along with seasons progressing the horrific storyline that stretches from Shackles of Domination to Mephisto's Manipulations set for 2025.

Seasonal Highlights for 2025:
- Belial's Return (April–July): The Lord of Lies Belial has resurfaced to challenge players to contend with his treacherous skills. This season adds the Lair Boss system which enables players to fight Belial alongside two bosses from the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
- Sins of the Horadrim (July–September): With the new enhancements, Nightmare Dungeons can be completed to learn more about Horadrim in their fighting activities. Players may increase the barons of Hell's dungeons level to personalize challenge and intensity of fighting.
- Infernal Chaos (September–December): The Infernal Horde fills it’s gameplay with new choices and advanced options between Infernal Waves to provide more control to players over their demon slicing and dicing activities.

Quality of Life Updates:
- Console Enhancements: Responding to community feedback, Blizzard will introduce keyboard and mouse support for console players, offering more control over the gameplay experience.
- Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey Improvements: Core system updates are planned to make the Battle Pass and Seasonal Journey more rewarding, ensuring these features evolve in line with player expectations.

Exciting Collaborations and More
In a notable turn of events, Blizzard has suggested two new IP partnerships that will be integrated within Diablo IV this year. Although specifics are sparse, the partnerships seek to integrate the dark undertones of the Diablo universe with other appealing realms, adding new dimensions and value for players.
Blizzard also states that much of the provided updates were the direct outcome of player feedback, highlighting the need for community involvement concerning the future updates of Diablo IV. Players are encouraged to post their opinions or feedback on social media or forums managed by Blizzard.
During the Age of Hatred’s storyline, Diablo IV has put the year 2025 as the target for players to expect new content that includes an assortment of old antagonists, new gameplay mechanics, and undisclosed collaborations set to deepen the lore of Sanctuary.
