dev1ce doubted his passion for Counter-Strike: “No pleasure, very disappointed”

Veteran Danish AWPer Nikolaj dev1ce Riedtz stunned the Counter-Strike community by stating in a recent social media post that he doesn't enjoy the game at all.

His words cast doubt on his future in esports.

No enjoyment from the game, which can be seen from the performances... very disappointed and sad

The revelation comes on the heels of a string of unsuccessful performances for device, further fueling rumors of his waning motivation. Although he showed glimpses of his former greatness yesterday against Spirit, his overall form is far from his previous level.

Device disappointment is multi-faceted and covers both personal and team factors. He has openly admitted that he has struggled with burnout in the past, and the grueling demands of professional Counter-Strike can negatively impact even the most experienced players. Additionally, Astralis' recent decline, coupled with roster instability, may be playing a role in his disappointment.

However, the statistics for the last 3 months of dev1ce don’t look so bad:

But the truth is that at the moment Astralis are one step away from elimination from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024: European RMR B, since their score in the group is 1:2.
