The organizers of the CS Asia Championships 2025 have changed the tournament dates and doubled the prize pool. However, this has created a new problem—a scheduling conflict with other tournaments.
CS Asia Championships 2025 will take place from October 14 to 19 in Shanghai. The tournament will host 16 teams—10 by invitation and 6 through regional qualifiers (Europe, North and South America, Asia). The European and American qualifiers will be held online, while the Asian one will take place on LAN in Shanghai. The prize pool has been increased to $1,000,000: $400,000 will go to the players, and $600,000 to the organizations. The venue is the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, an arena with a capacity of 18,000 spectators.
Compared to the previous tournament, this one has seen a significant increase. In 2023, the prize pool was $500,000—now it's twice as much. Another new feature is the LAN qualifier in Asia. The tournament format includes double elimination in the group stage and single elimination in the playoffs. The grand final will be in a BO5 format, while all other matches will be BO3.

Initially, CAC 2025 was supposed to take place from October 1 to 13, but it would have overlapped with ESL Pro League Season 22. To avoid this conflict, the organizers postponed the tournament to later dates. However, it now coincides with Nomadic Masters Fall 2025 and Thunderpick World Championship 2025.
