Valve continues to improve Counter-Strike 2 by releasing another technical update. The new patch fixes bugs in Inferno, resolves issues with voice chat, and eliminates possible client crashes via server plugins.
What has changed in the new CS2 update?
Inferno
- Fixed the geometry of the roof on the church, which was visible from the entrance to the boiler room. This visual error allowed players to see unexpected parts of the map, which could affect gameplay.

Voice chat and servers
- Fixed a bug that could cause voice chat to cut off after loading a Steam Workshop map.
- Fixed a rare case when the game crashed if some server plugins restricted network interaction between players.
UI changes
- Updated the UI for applying patches, fixed several bugs that could cause the menu to display incorrectly or freeze.
Importance of the update
This patch does not contain any major changes, but it is aimed at improving the game's stability and comfortable player interaction. Despite the fact that the fixes affect only a few aspects, they improve the quality of the game, especially for users of community servers and modified Steam Workshop maps.
Interestingly, Inferno continues to be the focus of developers' attention, with a number of changes to the placement of boosts and textures recently. This may indicate that Valve is preparing a global map update in the future.
